Get a 12-month supply of prescription birth control

Massachusetts’ ACCESS Law (Advancing Contraceptive Coverage and Economic Security in our State) ensures that Massachusetts residents continue to have access to affordable birth control.

Under the law, members of certain health plans can get up to a 12-month supply of prescription birth control at once after you first complete a three-month trial of the prescription. This applies to members of our Direct Care, Select Care, Preferred Care, Wellforce Care Plan, Berkshire Fallon Health Collaborative and Fallon 365 Care plans.

How can I get a 12-month supply of prescription birth control?
If you are a member of an eligible health plan, you will first need to complete a 3-month trial of the prescription. Once you successfully complete the trial, your provider can write you a prescription for a 12-month supply. You can then fill the 12-month prescription at your pharmacy and receive a 12-month supply at once.
