Fallon Health and the Worcester Red Sox celebrate partnership on Opening Day with the debut of Fallon Health Square

Fallon Health Square— the premier entrance and ticket gate for Woo Sox fans visiting Polar Park— is now open

Worcester, Mass., April 12, 2022—Fallon Health and the Worcester Red Sox joined together on Opening Day with City leaders and other distinguished guests to formally open Fallon Health Square. Formally Gate A, Fallon Health Square is the “front door” to WooSox home games and promises to be the premier entrance where most fans will be welcomed through to cheer on the team. It is located at the corner of Plymouth and Summit streets in Worcester.

“As one of the original founding partners of the Worcester Red Sox, Fallon Health is excited to play ball for a second season and to grow our partnership with an organization that shares our deep commitment to improving the health of the community,” said Richard Burke, President and CEO of Fallon Health. “Fallon Health Square will be used for fun, healthy activities and giveaways that add to the inviting nature of this prominent location throughout the season. We are pleased to debut the location and are eager to make a positive impact on the health of people of all ages, health statuses and backgrounds.”

“Thanks to the cooperation of our partners at the City of Worcester and at Fallon Health, fans can now enjoy a new, beautiful, navigable entrance to their downtown ballpark, right into the Summit Street Fair,” said WooSox President Dr. Charles A. Steinberg. “We hope Fallon Health Square at Gate A adds to the convenience and pleasure of visits to Polar Park.”

“With more than 45 years of dedicated service to the Worcester community, we cannot think of a better suited partner for the WooSox to collaborate with on such a prominent area,” said Edward M. Augustus Jr., City Manager for the City of Worcester. “Fallon Health Square makes a great first impression to fans and visitors coming to games while putting an important emphasis on the health and well-being of the region.”
Fallon Health Square, in Center Field, is the easiest way to enter Polar Park. From Union Station or the Union Station Garage, located at 225 Franklin St., it’s less than a half mile walk down Green Street and takes approximately 8 minutes to arrive. Along the way, fans can experience the resurgent Canal District and check out Pickett Park and Plaza.

Since becoming the first corporate sponsor of the Club in September 2018, Fallon and the WooSox have fostered a strong relationship on and off the field. In the Club’s inaugural year, they partnered on various initiatives including Fallon Family Funday Sundays and Strike Out Hunger, both of which will be back in 2022. Building on their shared commitment to improving the health of the local community, Fallon and the WooSox are working to develop additional initiatives which will be announced soon.
