Fallon Health names Mark Dichter, M.D. Medical Director for Utilization Management and Clinical Informatics
Worcester, MA, May 23, 2019 — Fallon Health, a nationally recognized, not-for-profit health care services organization, today announced the recent hire of Mark Dichter, M.D. as Medical Director for Utilization Management and Clinical Informatics.
In his role as Medical Director, Dr. Dichter will provide clinical leadership and support to utilization management, medical policy and other medical management functions. With an extensive background in clinical informatics, he will also provide guidance in the development of clinical operations and population health solutions.
Prior to joining Fallon, Dr. Dichter worked for over twenty years as a Medical Director at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, most recently in the role of Medical Director for Health Information Systems. He also has extensive experience as an urgent care physician.
Dr. Dichter graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University and with a Medical Degree from SUNY-Downstate Medical Center in NY. He completed a residency in and is board certified in Internal Medicine. In addition, he completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Medical Informatics at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health.
