Bunrith Sath joins Fallon Health to serve elders in the Cambodian community
Worcester, Mass., July 13, 2017 ― Fallon Health, a nationally recognized, not-for-profit health care services organization, is pleased to announce the recent hire of Bunrith Sath as Senior Care Products Account Executive for its NaviCare® program.
Fallon Health’s NaviCare program is a Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plan and Senior Care Options program that integrates care for adults age 65 and older. A personalized primary care team manages and coordinates the NaviCare member’s health care by working with each member, the member’s family and health care providers. The goal is to ensure that each member remains living as independently and safely as possible in the community.
In his role with Fallon, Sath is responsible for building relationships with internal and external referral sources to provide education about Fallon Health’s NaviCare program within the Khmer-speaking community. He participates in outreach events, presenting program information to older adults and caregivers who are looking for options to help them live safely at home in the community.
Prior to joining Fallon, Sath served as Community Organizer for the Coalition for a Better Acre—a membership-based not-for-profit organization that aims to improve and strengthen the lives of residents living in Lowell and surrounding towns. In this role, Sath worked as a liaison between community, church and civic groups, as well as neighborhood associations to build relationships and partnerships with each other.
Sath also spent 12 years at the Lowell Community Health Center—the final seven as a Community Health Liaison and Case Manager, tasked with organizing and coordinating trainings and workshops to educate the Cambodian community on HIV/AIDs prevention.
He earned an associate of science degree and certificate in travel service management from Middlesex Community College, and later obtained his certification in leadership, economic and management skills from the Center for Family, Work and Community at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.
