Are You HIPAA Compliant for 2012 with Fallon Health?
Beginning on January 1, 2012, health plans, clearinghouses, and providers are required to use new standards to conduct certain electronic transactions. Fallon remains on target to meet its implementation goals to accept 5010 transaction files on January 1, 2012 and we want to be sure you are as well.
If you have not submitted test files to become 5010 compliant, please work with your Fallon EDI coordinator to submit test files in order to meet the compliance date of January 1, 2012.
Please coordinate testing immediately. If Fallon is not actively working with you by October 1, 2011, you will not be able to meet the compliance date of January 1, 2012.
Fallon will accept both 4010 and 5010 files after January 1, 2012. However, we need to know what files you will be providing no later than October 1, 2011. This will allow us to understand your contingency plan and to avoid any interruption in service.
Your Fallon EDI Coordinator can provide you with the latest version of the Companion Guide if necessary.
