Fallon Community Health Plan announces Mark Cooper as Senior Director of Clinical Operations for Summit ElderCare®
Worcester, Mass., May 29, 2013 ― Fallon Community Health Plan (FCHP), a nationally recognized health care services organization, is pleased to announce that Mark Cooper has joined the company as its new Senior Director of Clinical Operations for Summit ElderCare, a Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) offered by FCHP. Summit ElderCare is the largest PACE program in New England and fifth largest in the country.
In this role, Cooper will be responsible for providing program-wide operational leadership, direction and oversight to ensure high quality participant care and regulatory compliance as well as positive internal and external business partner relationships.
With more than12 years of experience working in nursing, Cooper comes to Summit ElderCare from UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Mass., where he served as Senior Director of Solid Organ Transplant. Prior to that, he held various positions including Inpatient Lung Transplant Coordinator at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Abdominal Transplant Coordinator at Mass. General Hospital and Nurse Manager at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
Cooper has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Rhode Island College in Providence, an associate’s degree in respiratory care from Community College of Rhode Island in Lincoln, and is expected to receive his master’s degree in health administration this June from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island.
Cooper serves as City Councilor in Attleboro, Mass. where he resides with his family.
