Thomas H. Ebert, M.D., Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer
Thomas H. Ebert, M.D. serves as Fallon Health’s Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, responsible for ensuring the appropriateness, quality and cost-effectiveness of the health care services received by all Fallon members.
With over 20 years of experience as a managed care physician executive, Dr. Ebert served as Chief Medical Officer at Health New England, a subsidiary of Baystate Health in Springfield Massachusetts. He was also principal consultant at Premier, Inc., a Charlotte, North Carolina based provider-owned health services and consulting company. While at Premier, Dr. Ebert advised and helped hospital systems and physician groups form clinically integrated networks.
In addition, Dr. Ebert practiced nephrology in Worcester, Massachusetts for over 20 years. He served as Associate Chief of Medicine and Director of the Internal Medicine Residency training program at Worcester Memorial Hospital (now part of UMass Memorial Healthcare). He was the first president and medical director of Memorial’s Physician Hospital Organization and was an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine for more than two decades.
A graduate of Case Western Reserve University Scholl of Medicine with a medical degree, Dr. Ebert completed an internal medicine residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital and the University of Texas Southwestern Affiliated Hospitals in Dallas, Texas. He completed fellowships in nephrology and pathology at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
Presently, Dr. Ebert is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Ebert and his wife, Sheila Donnelly, M.D. live in West Boylston.
