Participants at Girls Inc of Worcester, one of our finalistsThe final 10 are looking for your votes!

From elementary school physical fitness programs to farm-based nutrition education to obesity awareness among the homeless, there are many programs in Massachusetts alone that are helping to make our world a better place.

We've been seeing that through the entries in FCHP's Healthy Communities Challenge—the grant contest we're running via Facebook.

Since the end of May, applications from nonprofit organizations throughout Massachusetts have been pouring in for a chance for their healthy programs to win a $5,000 grant.

We received more than 50 applications! Though each program had their merit, we had to narrow the selection down to 10.

Read the details of each program in their individual entries for the contest.

It's up to you

Voting for the winner of the $5,000 grant is open to the public. We're putting the decision in your hands to choose which program you think should win!

Anyone can vote (though you do need to have a Facebook account). You can vote once daily, from now until August 27. Vote here »

Spread the word and stay tuned!
