Fallon Health encourages members to stay active during coronavirus quarantine with virtual fitness
Worcester, Mass., April 10, 2020 ― Fallon Health is encouraging members to continue exercising during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic through one of its benefits that can be accessed at home—and get reimbursed for doing so.
The not-for-profit health care services agency is reminding commercial plan members that its popular It Fits! fitness reimbursement benefit*—one of the most flexible fitness benefits offered in Massachusetts—has options to help meet their wellness goals while social distancing.
Members can use their annual reimbursement for streaming a wide range of instructor-led, on demand and live-streaming fitness programs and subscriptions (i.e.: Beachbody®, Peloton®, Daily Burn®, etc.).
“During this unprecedented time, we are being asked to stay home to prevent the spread of COVID-19. For many, that takes them away from their usual exercise routine, such as going to the gym,” said Beth Helenius, Vice President of Sales at Fallon Health. “With this benefit, members are able to continue working out remotely. We are pleased to be able to offer reimbursement for a wide range of classes that will help them achieve their wellness goals.”
With Fallon, eligible members can use It Fits! dollars toward any brand of new cardiovascular home fitness equipment purchased within the benefit year, including:
- Treadmills
- Elliptical machines
- Stair climbing machines
- Stationary cycles
