Leslie S. Fish, Pharm.D., appointed to Legislative Committee of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy

Worcester, Mass., September 2, 2008― Fallon Community Health Plan is pleased to announce that Leslie S. Fish, Pharm. D., Senior Director of Pharmacy Services, has been appointed to the Legislative Committee of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP).

As a member of the Legislative Committee, Dr. Fish will monitor the legislative activities in Massachusetts and report on her findings to the committee, and will also investigate how federal policies and activities will affect health care. She will also focus on the pharmacy lobbying efforts on Capital Hill. This is a nominated position of which Dr. Fish will hold for a period of two years.

Dr. Fish has been a strong advocate for managing the safety and cost of prescription drugs in her role at FCHP, and has more than 25 years of experience in the health care field as a practicing pharmacist, with particular expertise in oncology and cardiology, and as a consultant, educator, researcher and writer.

She received her doctorate of pharmacy from Northeastern University, Graduate School of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions, and a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy.

Dr. Fish resides in Worcester with her husband and three sons.
